Tonga: Sailing These Very Special Islands

Every day on Two if by Sea is filled with diving, snorkeling, sailing or just chilling out. We visit deserted islands with magnificent reefs and beaches, and overnight in quiet protected anchorages.

A typical 7 day cruise would take in the following islands and attractions

PANGAIMOTU with it’s great beaches, diving on the wreck (400’ long!) Tongan Beach Resort & Hiking

KAPA where we will dive or snorkel and even bring the dinghy into Swallows cave.

NUAPAPU is the home of the famous Mariners Cave, one of the most spectacular cave dives in the Pacific. The snorkeling is extraordinary as are the pristine deserted beaches.

HUNGA is great for Kayaking inside the protected lagoon with snorkeling and a couple of dive sites nearby.  

Whilst sailing from island to island we will anchor at beaches, dive and snorkel sites, there are too many to list here. A trip outside of the Vava’u Group is a must for fishing or whale watching in season. You can do as much or as little sailing as you please.

TAUNGA has a small community on the island it’s great for beachcombing or hiking through the lush scenery. Great Diving & Snorkelling.

TAPANA is where we have a Traditional Tongan Feast ashore and sample local cuisine and culture.

NEIAFU is home base, we stop here for a while mid-week to put on fresh foods and to give you the chance to walk around town and maybe take a taxi tour of the island.

For charters of more than 7 days we would also visit OFU for beachcombing MAKAVE local culture and great beaches and NGAU to visit one of the most superb beaches in Tonga.
